My journey through the waves of sound
I studied at the University of Bristol which was where I met Will through Bristol's amazing music scene. Whilst studying Mechanical Engineering (BEng) and Economics, Accounting and Finance (MSc); I found my passion for playing music and bringing communities together.
I co-founded an events brand in Bristol (Redland Tea Party), which ran for about 4 years, running nights in Bristol and London, until Covid brought its own challenges to the nightlife industry.
In 2016, I moved to London to pursue a career path in software development, where I also discovered a larger music network, and started to produce my own music. After heart surgery in 2019, I realised that I wanted to take a step back from writing code, and instead put more of my energy into making melodies!
I then moved back to Bristol and joined Symmetry Recordings as a PR/marketing consultant, to learn the business side of the music industry alongside the creative. During this time I also learnt how to build acoustic treatment for my home studio, whilst taking up seasonal labouring work to pay the bills and work with my hands, which is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. I’m really excited to translate these skills in construction and acoustic engineering on a larger scale.

Alongside the commercial work, I also made some strong development in my creative side as a musician; securing residencies in London playing at Ministry of Sound, Corsica Studios, and the Hope & Anchor. I have also had the privilege to perform at Fabric, E1, Fire, Lightbox, and El Dorado Festival on numerous occasions. In 2024 I was promoted at Symmetry Recordings to label manager as a result of helping earn the company more money and growing the brand.
This project feels like the culmination of all my interests and skills, and I can’t wait to help build a space for a new creative community to grow.
